Privacy and cookies policy pursuant Regulation (EU) 2016/679
The European Forensic Institute Ltd (EFI), with legal address at the Malta Life Sciences Park, Sir Temi Zammit Buildings, San Gwann SGN 3000, Malta, in its capacity as Data Controller pursuant to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the provisions of the law, when applicable, has the obligation to inform you of the processing of the personal data collected on this website.

Personal data collected automatically
In relation to the browsing data, the access to this website, through the usage of internet communication protocols, considers implicit the processing of personal data necessary to access the website. More specifically, in this website the browsing data related to the IP address are automatically collected. These data are collected with the purpose of carrying out basic checks on the information that the users provide when requesting a service.

This website allows users to subscribe to the newsletter service to receive periodic emails about news and offers on seminars, courses and, more generally, on any activities carried out by the Data controller.

This website allows users, through the online form, to register to educational and informational activities such as seminars, courses and various events.

Legal basis for data collection
Pursuant to Art. 6, par. 1, letter f), your personal Data will be processed on the legal basis of personal interest to allow the data Controller to answer to your requests. The ersonal Data collected in the module “Newsletter subscription” will be processed only if you give consent.

Area of processing and/or disclosure
Personal data processed on this website will not be disclosed.

Users rights
The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the following information enforcing the right as provided in Art. 15 of Reg. (EU) 2016/679 with regards to:
a) purposes of processing;
b) categories of personal data concerned;
c) recipients and/or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, especially if they are recipients of third countries or international organizations;
d) where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
e) the existence of the right to request from the controller rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing of personal data concerning the data subject or to object to such processing;
f) the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
g) where the personal data are not collected from the data subject, any available information as to their source;
h) the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, referred to in Article 22(1) and (4) and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.
The data subject shall also have the right:
  • To obtain from the controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning him or her.

  • Data portability
