Dear EFI community,

Staying updated in our field is essential, whether you are considering where to study Criminalistics, exploring the latest advances in Cybersecurity, or developing the skills required to excel in Digital Forensics.

One way to do this is by remaining curious and making the most of opportunities to gain new knowledge and practical skills.

With this in mind, we are pleased to invite you to the SANS DFIR Europe Summit 2025, which will take place in Prague on 28 September – 4 Oct 2025.

This is a leading event for professionals in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), combining a full-day summit with hands-on training sessions delivered by experienced practitioners.

This year marks the 15th edition of the DFIR Europe Summit, offering both in-person and online participation, as well as access to interactive virtual labs.

We are proud to announce that Luca Cadonici, Programme Leader of the Master’s in Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Crime Analysis, will be presenting his session:

“Mobile Device Hardening: A Forensic Comparison of Advanced Protection Programmes in iOS and Android”

Luca Cadonici is a Cybersecurity lecturer and Programme Leader at the European Forensic Institute in Malta. He has extensive experience in Digital Forensics, supporting Italian law enforcement and judicial authorities in complex investigations.

As an international trainer and speaker, he has contributed to institutions such as Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), the SANS DFIR Summit, and the Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Georgia. He will now also be featured at the SANS DFIR Europe Summit 2025.

Join Luca’s presentation and learn from “Mobile Device Hardening: A Forensic Comparison of Advanced Protection Programmes in iOS and Android.”
